Wear comfortable clothes, preferably ones that stretch and allow easy access to your upper arms and legs. If you are coming from work, don't worry we will provide you with a gown and appropriate draping. If you feel you are getting sick, are sick or getting Gua Sha or cupping, please bring a scarf or wear clothes that will cover your neck and back.

+ HOW LONG WILL THE FIRST SESSION TAKE?

The first session might take a full hour to an hour and a half depending on your medical history. Each follow-up session will be around an hour total. Before your first visit, I will have you fill out an intake form that will give me the information I need to start treating you. You can report any changes or additional concerns you have at follow up appointments.

+ DOES ACUPUNCTURE HURT?

Acupuncture usually doesn't cause discomfort or pain. Once a needle is in, you may or may not feel a mild, dull ache or a slight tingling sensation that goes away. How acupuncture feels will vary depending on where the needle is placed on the body. If you are sick or on your menses it may be more sensitive. If you have phobia of needles magnets are used instead. Overall, most patients do not consider acupuncture to be painful and they find the benefits outweigh any discomfort.

+ HOW MANY ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENTS DO YOU NEED?

This will depend on how long the symptoms have been going on for, your age, if symptoms are consistent, and how well you are progressing. For Migraines, Fertility Boost, Hormone Balancing, PCOS, Amenorrhea, Menopause it will be a longer process according to each individuals presentation. It is important to know that one acupuncture treatment will not adequately address your issues. Data shows the Overall Average Treatment Time is eight treatments with complex cases being twelve.
