The Beginning:

Andrea Allerton is a Licensed Acupuncturist with experience in the healing arts since 1997. She started her path in pre-med but fell in love with alternative medicine when she started working as a Licensed Massage Therapist at Hippocrates Health Ins. doing Thai Massage. There, Andrea had the opportunity to work with many individuals who were battling cancer or rare ailments who sought holistic medicine because conventional medicine alone was not able to help. After witnessing recovery and healing in those individuals who had changed their diet, lifestyle, mind, and spirit, Andrea couldn’t deny what she had seen and wanted to further her studies. This led her journey to Chinese Medicine.

She received her training at Emperor's College of Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica CA, and at the 2nd Affiliated Hospital in Nanjing, China. She got her masters in 2009 and Modus Acupuncture was birthed in 2010.  She fell in love with the philosophy and results that Chinese medicine provided because it bridged the gap where allopathic medicine could not. Andrea believes both conventional and alternative/holistic medicine are needed because they each have a role to play.

Who She Sees Today:

Woman and couples who are ready to begin a family and

enter parenthood; Those seeking fertility support,  Pregnancy support (implantation, side effects of pregnancy, labor preparation, labor induction, and post partum care).

Women who want to balance their hormones while  transforming from the Mother to the Wise archetype.

Athletes who play hard and want to enhance athletic performance, increase recovery times and keep an optimal mindset. (Andrea has been part of a sports-care medical team since 2004 locally)

Dr. Sanjeni Patel is a life long advocate of Holistic Healthcare and devoted to a
wholesome lifestyle. Following a BS in Biology and Minor in Chemistry from Cal
State Fullerton, Dr. Patel pursued a Master’s in Public Health with an emphasis
in women’s health. She then continued on to National University of Health Sciences in Illinois. She graduated with her Doctorate in 2011 and began practice in the same year. Women’s Health is extremely important to her. Sanjeni is particularly passionate about Fertility care and wellness after her own challenging journey to a healthy pregnancy.

Dr. Patel is certified and trained  Mercier Therapy, a holistic approach to fertility challenges, pelvic pain, and recovery from pelvic or gynecologic surgery. Mercier Therapy is a safe and gentle, soft-tissue pelvic organ visceral manipulation technique that addresses scar tissue, adhesion, mal alignment and/or decreased mobility of the pelvic and reproductive structures.

Mobility plays an integral role in proper blood flow to the reproductive organs by impacting pelvic organ function. Pelvic pain and pelvic scarring from previous trauma or surgery ( laparoscopy, laparotomy, D&C, LEEP, abortion, cystocele or rectocele repair, cesarean section, or hysterectomy), can contribute to fertility challenges, conceiving, or holding pregnancy.

Mercier Therapy can restore proper balance and function for optimal pelvic health and  successful conception.

Never one to rest, Erica continues her life’s work through ongoing training and education. Most recently, she has been involved in an intensive study of healing. Erica believes the body has a beautiful and innate ability to heal itself and often needs gentle assistance to remember how to function and move. She believes it is essential to look at the entire body and how it needs to work together to function optimally which guides her to treat not just a body part, but the entire body as a system.

A Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Physical Therapist, Erica is the founder of Healing Integrations. Erica graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from California State University Long Beach with an emphasis in Exercise Science and continued her education to earn a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Samuel Merritt College.

Erica’s integrative approach to healing has given her a strong background through her work with a wide variety of patients to benefit health, achieve optimal physical wellness, and build beneficial life habits. With more than 14 years of experience, the way Erica treats continues to evolve as she incorporates advanced manual therapy techniques, visceral manipulation, craniosacral therapy as well as Reiki into her treatments.
